Here's a suggestion that requires no work on behalf of Admin!!!!!! 
Yep you read that right.......
There are thousands of Internet Radio thingys out there...how-s-about one for here. One with a DJ. Now I would be willing to do a one to two hour show once a week, maybe with a couple of interviews and play all the latest UBW stuff.
Now I could go ahead and do it, but I prefer to seek permissions etc. A little bit of advertising here and there and we could have a good slice of the net listening in.
I'll run it from an independant site if needed. What y'all think? |

GREAT IDEA!!!! I would love to see this happen!
You are certainly welcome to do it here. The only challenge will be how to organize the "playlist", since currently the only two options are 'random' and 'sequential' . Obivously you would want the talking to go ahead of 'specific' songs, which means you would need some control over the order.
Let me see if there's a quick way to do that!!!

Choosing the playlist would be easy enough. The whole idea is to get those who don't climb so high as much recognition.
The idea runs as such:
Featured artist (voted by the listener)
Chart countdown
Various artists from all genres
1 DJ doin' his thang
Pre-Recorded interviews
UBW News and Artist news
Links to featured artists on air plus full bios
New artist review
Request area via e-mail
I got most of it sorted, plus a pal working on a jingle or two.
Broadcast once a week, say Chart day, and that broadcast stay available till the following week, plus I'll keep a archive in case anyone wants a show on MP3.
All I'll do is download the songs I need and slap 'em into a mix...stay tuned.

I saw this little idea on google and I think I may be able to help, I already run a demo station for people to have a little look at Here. I run a request service that goes stright to the top of the playlist. I rent a server for $25 a month (I don't realy expect you to pay for it) I have a phone line that goes stright to the studio and a skype line.
