Trying to build a website... help?

I need advice... I've built websites before but I'm trying to build a good one for my music. Right now I've got a Geocities (sic) site that I link to through .tk (www.jackmaisiejr.tk).

Geocities sucks; I'll admit that. So I can't upload my music onto Geocities. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for free FTP sites I could use to upload my music.

Also, if you know of any free website hosts with minimal popup or banner ads, let me know. Because again, Geocities sucks.

I use Freewebs.com with ".tk"
Ya can't host music on freewebs but can add a link in ya navbar which link to a music hoster ...as UBW...hehehhhe
Freewebs words fine and well, and there's no too much banners and ads....

for my site, I use geocities, but it doenst bother me that bad...

Anyway, for a host for music, i use http://www.soundclick.com to upload mine.

For a host though, I dont know about cheap, but http://www.hostbaby.com gives you a ton of stuff for 10 dollars a year and 20 a month.

Hi Maisie.

Try using two sites. I would say definetley go with FREEWEBS, and use something like Tripod which, I think you can store 25 megs of tunes on, and just link from your Freewebs site.

Just an idea.

I like the fact that UBW give you all the stats on who downloaded, when etc...+ they give the option to stream audio at low quality for the many without a fast internet connection. I reckon a UBW link hidden behind your song name is the coup. Unless you are an internet wizard and sneer at my ignorance...in which case I am truly sorry your eminance. Please don't ping pong flame scuzzle me. I meant not to upset thee. Wink

I know this topic is old but www.netcolony.con doesn't have any pop-ups or banners. But you can't upload music.
