The beats are wicked. especially at 2:40 something. Hmm..i dont know if i really like the vox that much. But those tribal beats are simply amazing
but i will go on a tip from our dear friend unproject and have a couple listens to see if the vox will grow on me |

Woooooww Alek.
This is an awesome tune and it has heaps of feeling to it. I dig the vox and beat, not too keen on the bass all the way through, but I sure dig the tune.
A different style for you for sure, and keep them coming!!
Will be added to the 'kids fighting in the back seat' arsenal lol |

Soulfish reviews "151"
(hey - there's got to be a sense of occasion to make it worth reading!!!)
Being under the influence of various narcotics made listening to this track an audio-visual experience I strongly recommend!!!
This tune has enough slick moves and slick grooves to keep you under it's spell till the final bar.
I find the sample a touch repetative at times but in my current state this is a GOOD THING!
The production is strong enough to feel that you're listening to the composer's vision and not feel the impact of the samples in isolation - Something I feel is particularly important in this genre. I feel there's more than a hint of "Deep Forest" in the drums. (Again.......a GOOD THING in my current state - (Wish Brooksy was able join in this review - I have the feeling he'd have the words...!!))
Anyway - back to the tune.....I like it.
It has some nice dirty touches on the bass and the percussion although looped has enough 'moments' to stop it feeling overly sequenced. I would love to hear this as part of a body of work (maybe old school - Concerto Grosse) which eventually develops into a musical story of some sort. (Just a thought!) Good work dude - Looking forward to the next instalment! Keep on keepin on! |
