I'd like to thank my mother, my father, my great Aunt Dick  I just don't know what to say....it's all so sudden.....(cue serious look to camera 3) I mean, non of this would be possible without (cue slight simper and gut churning demure look) all of you......It's just so.....(editor cuts speech so Bono can say something important and Sting can nod)

I'm sure it's only the first of many. Your songs are fantastic and WELL deserve to be at the top of the charts.
It's reat to see that you already have your 'acceptance' speech all worked out. Very well done indeed!!!!

Hey man, I just went to your artist page and played the "all songs" link at the top. First time I'd played them all consecutively like that. Your tunes flow together so well. Your album is gonna be great. Release date?

No record deal yet but......
We're making our first real effort at a proper recording with production and mastering on Feb 2nd (at least that's when drums and bass and rhythm guitars will go down!) All the songs on UBW right now are demo's with no production at all - it's just us playing live (except for Sunflowers and Lately - where a mate took our demo and protooled it to hell and back!) So fingers crossed. Planning to record backline in live venue during the day - do a gig in the evening at same place to hopefully cover the costs, then over the next two weeks add lead and vocals in another enviroment (yet to be decided) The dude engineering/.producing has done some live front house desk,work for us before so hopefully he has an idea of what he's getting into! Will of course post the results and hopefully get our first EP out of it which we'll flog through UBW. Wish us luck (I've a feeling we're gonna need it!!!) |

Welll sign me up. I think the demo's sound great - and the vibe is so good. Don't let the studio kill the groove you have on the demos. The mixes the fellow did sound good.

He lives up the road - you see him on the beach walking his kid around looking hungover - and his wife (Zoe Ball - radio DJ and TV Presenter)gets the train up to London every day like the rest of us! All very low key down here I'm afraid. Give me a New York basement any day - hell it even sounds cool and credible before you've played a note - every one from Manchester thinks Brighton is nothing but stoners and gay bars - They're right of course, but that's not the point now is it!!!! |
