Fife band Evolution are looking for a new Vocalist / Frontman and a keyboardist.
We have been going for 3 years, and we play our own brand of progressive edgy rock.
Unfortunately things with our current singer have not panned out, and we are now looking for a replacement.
we are looking for someone with a little bit of darkness and light, powerful vocals, but with the ability to switch from heavy to light, a little bit of character, and to be good in front of an audience, with the ability to portray a bit of emotion, originality is a must. any ego problems or previous emotional baggage from past bands can be left at home where they belong.
For a keyboard player, we are after someone who can write, and will be able to play lead instrument on some material, and to back on other material, piano, hammond, synth whatever. we like textures and mood music as well as out and out hard rock, imagination is what we are after.
We are a collective writing band, we all take part in the writing process, and anyone who were to join in the above 2 slots would be welcome to join in with this process
Influences can range from anything, Marillion, Rush, Nirvana, Van Halen, Soundgarden, AIC, ACDC, Yes, Journey, REM, Alec Empire, ther list could go on and get more and more ecletic, we have a lot of influences, but we try not to write from them. Bring your own influences and throw them in to see what happens. Musical freedom! We do not want to be the next Oasis or anybody, we want to be the first Evolution!
We practice weekendly, sometimes during a weeknight (We all have day jobs unfortunately) and gig whenever we can, we also do a lot of recording. We write individually and as a band.
