Artist: Digital Beat (artist page)
Song: Talking Transistors (192 kbps stream)
Genre: Experimental Breakbeat
I think the track is very well named. If transitors were talking..we probably couldnt understand what was going on...but it would sound pretty cool.
From the first synth it starts off experimental. The whiny synth has some cool syncopation. The effect on it is great..kinda eats away at me (in a good way). The bass line is cool another strange synth. The beat is pretty strange as well once it kicks in. By strange i mean syncopated...but also the noise used is something diffrent. Strange does not mean bad. I am loving the cymbals. very funky...definatly something diffrent. All the tweaks that show up around 1:30 are great. The addition of that pad also seems to make things come together. I wish it had played a bit longer. A little breakdown at 2:00...kinda. I think if the drums had gone away completely it would make this break a little more pronounced. When the beat kicks back in is great. love all the little cuts going on.
Okay...i guess 3:00 is the real breakdown. Still would like for it to lasted a little longer without some drums. My my..the way the beat comes back around 3:30 is awesome! sounds like something out of hardcore or something industrial. The new synth you add is awesome. Very very crazy...i bet this is what insanity feels like. Deffinatly feel the "talking transistors" vibe here. The cuts are sweet and keep the tune rolling nicely. Experimental breaks are not really my speciality. In fact i dont think i have ever listened to a track like this before. Its pretty nutty but very well done. Im a sucker for little cuts in electronic music and this tune had them in ample supply. Not my favorite from you..but none the less a great track! |
