Before I request a review for a song, I'd just like to find out if anyone is really informed and can give a good review on punk music... most people who are not used to it, or who have little patience for the "whiney emo scene," can't tell one song from another. Punk is often accused of being garage band quality with a lead vocalist who can't sing, and with a "two-chord" guitarist, but the stuff out there that's QUALITY is worth being listened to....so if anyone can review punk/emo, let me know, please! |

Hey blue.... I 'USED' to be in a punk band. We did cover's of 7 seconds, minor threat, circle jerks, dead kennedys, and some 80's punk covers.... I don't know if that makes me 'qualified' but I can certainly appreciate a 'raw' sound, if what's underneath is good!!!! |

hey thanks minusme...what I'm looking for in a review is the quality of the musicianship, and your opinion on the lead vocals....my friend (who I made the artist page for) was the lead vocalist, but the band recently replaced him, and now he's only backup
the song up here is what he calls an "unmixed demo" so just take that into consideration

thanks! |

Blueprint...
I listened to the song twice to make sure I had a feel for the song.....
The song itself is pretty good, but the recording could use a little work (what recording doesn't right?? ..LOL ) I would say the vocals are 'ok', not great, not horrible. The biggest issue for me is tonation. The vocals are off pitch for many of the 'buildup's', which in some aspects are the 'climax' of the song. In my opinion, this detracts from the song.
Still, overall I enjoyed the listen. You can tell that with a better recording and with a few more takes on the vocals that this song has potential....
Take care!
