We have now added a song called Deluge to our area. It's quite different to our usual stuff.
Please check it out.
Thanks |

Afternoon guys.
First the bad points
I'm getting a little too much distortion from the speakers. I changed all the settings on the player, but still doesn't change, try avoiding bass boost on the EQ (acoustic players like me need it though, lol).
The heavy vibrations don't start till the "chorus" where everything comes in at once. That's where the problem lies.
Now the good points:
The feel I got from Deluge was a beutiful cross between an REM ballad, and a Nazareth tune (or are you too young to remember them (Nazareth) ). This IS the best darn track yet. I think I'm on the second play of this one.
The vocals are a little distant, which with the set up of all the instruments, is perfect. Only a fullt proffessional recording had ever got me moved like this song has. When I say pro recording I mean already famous bands etc, it wasn't an insult, lol. I think it was Springsteen's Jungleland, which was just as sweeping as Deluge.
Staying on the vocals for a second, a little Lennon strain in there me thinks.
Someone might say OASIS: Don't look Back In Anger influence musically; compliment?
But I'll stick with REM/Nazareth...a much bigger compliment
Very well done guys. Much respect.

Hey guys.... The deluge tune has a warm classic feel to it. While it's different I recalled some of Lynyrd Skynyrd ballads when listening. probably the piano in there and bass progression. putting real drums with it ifwill improve the feel quite a bit I think, but there's alot of cool things happening here. This is different from alot of what I'm used to hearing and I like it.

I'm listening to deluge right now. My first comment is I really like the piano and bass line that carry the intro. The vocals are really good, but I think they could stand to be a little louder in the mix. The hi-hat that comes in just after the 1:00 mark sounds just a little bit thin, which takes away from the song just a little bit.
Overall I really enjoyed the song... Keep it up!!!

Thanks all for your comments.
Now we have a drummer we are going to go into the studio and record all our songs properly as soon as weve got the money together. |
