Hi all,

Posting some of my favorite Rock listens over the past month. I'm also adding these to the Weekly Favorite "Rock Archives" and "This Week" radio stations. I expect to leave these on the up for several weeks. See my sigfile to get to the links for the radio stations where all of these are on a playlist. Bandpage links are below.

Favorites Dec 27:

Artist: Adamson Square “Just a little while” well done acoustic rock tune. Vocal and arrangement is EXCEPTIONAL. I’m going to add some more Adamson Square tunes at a later date, but need to let them grow on me first to determine which. I like most of what they’ve posted here – but am iincluding “Skeleton Song” and f.o.” on the radio playlist for a taste.

Artist: David Franklin “Harpers Folly”. Excellent instrumental rock guitar work. If you’re a fan of this type of music also check out “Dropped D” and “Starside.” Both of those will remind you of some stuff by Joe Satriani

Artist: Elysium - Listen to both “Chewed and Swallowed” and “Ingrate” . This is artful rock music with an edge. Hypnotic vocals and strong musicianship.

Artist: Rockets and Cars “Late Night” has a 50s/60s vibe blended with a modern sound.

Artist: willis “We Are” alternative rock. This is a “different” kind of tune but I like it. Interesting song, song construction, and unpredictable music changes… but melodic and very listenable. I find I keep listening to this one wondering where it’s going next.

Artist: Total Departure. Several cool instrumental tunes. Sequenced sounds with heavy rock guitar grooves. “2:00 am” and “Hover”

Artist: Liszt “Avalnche” – good musical pop rock tune. They’ve set up as download only, but it’s worth the download.

Artist: Pacesetter “Distant Echoes” Rock

Artist: Kitsch “The Pirate Song” This is classified as punk, but rock fans will like this riff driven melodic tune also. Vocals are top rate, especially the high harmonized parts.

Artist: Tony Hicks aka Rebel Yankee. “Tell me what it means”. Cool all around groove. Nice riff and … organ solo too. For some reason I was reminded of the tune “The stroke” by Billy Squire from early 80s after hearing this.

Artist: The Story “Victories” Uplifting indie rock tune.

Artist: Madding Crowd “It Won’t Be Long” – rock. Vocals remind me some of Sting in places.

Artist: 12 Ways From Sunday “Far Away Home” Decent rock tune. Vocal is not the strongest, but overall catchy tune.

Artist: Suns of March “San Jose”. Rock n Roll with fiddles. Probably would classify this is as Southern Rock. “Bulletproof Heart” is good also. Has a little bit of a .38 Special feel to it.
