Michael Frazier Reviews - The Dying Curios
Alright - I hear the beginning and think "Great, some exteraneous noice that is gonna get worse and louder" and then you break into the solid rock beat with all the trimmings. Excellent musicianship. Love that section with the dual harmony guitars. Excellent vocal presence - solid singing and up in the mix - comes across very nicely. Hard for me to catch the entire story without the lyrics posted. Super change at 3:50 - completely moves the song in a different direction for the ending. Super guitar work throughout. Every player works togehter well. This is a well written, well played and well recorded song. Excellent listen guys. Michael
Rebel Riders - Oh wow - Quicksilver Messenger Service is back. Holy -----. Loving the 60's feel and theme here. Exactly what the world needs. Jazzy and rock solid. Great guitar work again. Great lyrical focus and another strong vocal performance. Love the changes - a bit of Ambrosia and many other 70's style groups. Nice to hear some meat on the bones. Cool song. Love the beginning.
Red Moon Rising - [color=white]Nice vocal work on this one. Super vocal mix and interesting mix of style of the sort of more modern rock / jazz with the traditional soul. Once again a very tight performance by the band - you guys are very tight together. Solid recording, nice guitar work and vocals are well done. [/color
Overall - you guys play very well together and do a nice job of building each song with the appropriate sounds and changes. Excellent guitar work, solid drums and bass and a smooth vocal on top. Mixes are really well done to these ears. I hear a lot of talent. Very much enjoyed listening to your tunes. Best of fortune to you. Michael] |

Michael Frazier reviews - Martin Gordon
Push It - Got a Cool groove man. Very Ike and Tina low key. Nice instrumentation. Decent mix and recording. The higher range vocals stand out a bit too much in spots due to pitch. Great ideas though. If you did all this yourself, I'm impressed. You obviously have some musical talent. The lyrics are a bit less than what I need to stay interested. Just my opinion. Sounds like a cross between a sexual encounter and a shoe commercial. Still I appreciate you mucial talent. Thanks for the listen. Michael.
Lazy Funk - Nice intro - cool guitar work on both sides. Not the best recording. Great ideas and I like the vocal and musical lines and the forward movement of the overall song. A lot of good qualities and another statement of your musical talent. Nice vocal work with a good presence in the mix. I like the feel of this tune. The extra overtones at the end are a nice touch. Nice work. This tune has the elements - the mix is alright but a better one moves it up a notch. Great listen. Thanks. Michael
My God - Oh yeah - I'm thinking you hit the nice funk groove on this one. Very cool groove. Solid instrumentation and I like the stacked up vocals. You got a dozen? or just a harmonizer multiplyer? Solid guitar and vocal work. Good tune Martin.
Overall, you have taken a well known sound and transformed it to your own taste. Pretty cool. You obviously have some musical talent - you can write, you can play, you can record it all. Very decent work. I appreciate being able to listen to your music and I enjoyed it. Thanks. Michael |

Not sure if you're still doing this, but if you are, here's a link to some of my music:
Tyler Alderson
"Ballad" and "Applause" are original, and "Highway 51 Blues" is my own arrangement of an old folk/blues song.
Hope you like them.

Deleted "Highway 51" to make room for two originals, "Someday" and "Cold Wind."

Hello Michael!
I'll take you up on your offer! My band, Sylvan Lane, is not new to unsignedbandweb, but we're new to the forums. this means we're also new to the whole review thing, so we're curious to see how it works. Once I check out some other reviews and see how they are written and posted, I'll return the favor. Be looking for my review of one or more of your songs soon. In the meantime, please have a listen to our music at our profile.
We play mostly contemporary acoustic inetrumentals. I would suggest either our song "Falling" or "Ficus," but obviously feel free to review whatever.
Thanks for the offer! |

Dear Mr. Frazier:
I have spent a reasonable amount of time on this site evaluating as much music as possible in hopes of expanding and learning from the abundant amount of talent posting music on this site. I came upon a song titled "Peace B with U" and it makes me begin to question some things. Im not going to slam anyone as each individual has their own contributions to music but....Since you seem to be on this site alot, and I do read your reviews often, and usually fair and accurate, please do me a favor. First, please answer a couple questions for me if possible? How does a song like that get placed on the charts to begin with? Secondly, am I not placing my music in the right catagory in order to properly be recognized and heard? It really matters none if any of my music is placed on the charts or not, I guess I was just wondering what would be the most effective way of getting my music placed in front of as many viewers possible? Lastly, would you please be kind enough to review my most recent release and provide some feedback, I would appreciate your opinion? If you have any questions please contact me at anytime. Here are the links to my music:

Damato, for some reason the first 2 links you provided arent working...the 3rd one works though (good stuff by the way)...well, as long as I'm here, I can give you my 2 cents...one of the best ways to get heard is by doing exactly what you did....post. Over half of the music I listen to on the UBW I find by clicking on links provided in posts.
