listening to Magenta Girl - intro is a little sparse for my tastes, but I like the tune once things get going. vocals are good. good job of integrating all the different instruments you have there.
Bonnie Devil - Nice mood setting in intro. mellow. again, I like your vocal sound. very cool sound you have here. and the saxiphone part caps it all off... buildup is great throughout. I like this on the best of the two.

Welcome to the unsigned band web!!!!!
Fantastic to have you here! I'm listening to Magenta Girl now... AWESOME song. That intro really doesn't prepare you for the dynamic music that is to follow!!!
Great rhythm, and mix of sounds. The synth, horn, and percussion are all really well done and add a lot to this upbeat song!
I agree with smili, the vocals sound fantastic. I really like the harmonies towards the end as well!!!!
I'm looking forward to getting to know your music!!!!
Take care,
Ron |

The sparse intro on Magenta Girl reminds me of early Doors stuff, yet the rest of the song has a definite early 70's rock vibe. Very cool.
Bonnie Devil had me wishin' for the finer days of music to return. Again very cool. Reminded me a little of Boston for some unknown reason. |

Just listened to both of your songs...Great!!! Love the vocals!! The only thing that I would suggest is to provide a lo-fi version also. In hi-fi, I only get 2-5 seconds of the song before it has to re-buffer..Its very frustrating!!!

I'll do a quick review
As I' typing this magenta girl is playing. At first from the intro I thought you were going to be another synth band but I have to say you seem to have mixed the cool guitar band sound with some great synth sounds and it works very well. Your voice is great. The melodies are very catchy. Your production and balance is very good.
Just starting up Bonnie Girl...
This is a lovely song. It seems sad and melancholic. I liked the accustic guitar. Oh the sax just kicked in there...... thats perfect it really suits this song the moods are spot on.
One thing bugs me here the guitar seems to be only in the left and the vocals mainly in the right speaker. I'm not sure if this is intentional but perhaps it may need to be addressed to get the balances sorted. I may be wrong there I wonder what other people feel about that one?
Besides that very minor thing this is a very good song lyrically its excellent. Your vocals again are spot on. The backing vocals come in nicely add a lovely lift. The sax is perfect for the middle 8. Excellent track.
One critique if I may you have your songs as genre pop. For pop songs I think your songs are too long. I would however suggest you put them in the alternative genre. IMHO. |

Hello Alex, I agree about the vocals with everyone else, very good. .
I aslo agree about the genre not really being pop, "Magenta Girl" is possibly too busy for pop and a little long, not sure where it would fit though . . . . . "Bonnie Devil" would probably work for soft rock, I really enjoyed that song, I loved the sax, nice touch! overall great job and welcome to the UBW . . . . btw cool handle "tankzappa" any relation to "frankzappa" . . .
Peace,
Erick . . . |

Just had a quick listen to Magenta girl and thought it was ok, pretty good use of instruments etc... but was quite take by bonnie devil..... personally got echos of... GnR - November Rain and Floyd - Wish You Were Here... not a bad thing i don't think
I wouldn't worry about genre personally but thats just me.
Again good work. |
