We are an independent and non-commercial PodCast based in Seattle. We are seeking alternative rock music tracks to broadcast either with consent of the artist or under CCC liscenses. www.promiscuousbullet.com

To learn more about CCC liscencing, check out the link at:
www.tmihost.com look for the 'Creative Commons' box to the link
(and by the way, if you would like an artist link on this page just let us know - its' free)

PodCasting is a new way of broadcasting audio files via the internet. most PodCasts are informal and fairly unproffessional home radio shows with commentary, music, etc. Some radio shows are launching their own PodCasts. The shows can be downloaded from the websites, or through 'aggregators' which kidnap the show for you so you can play it later. or send it straight to iPods.

The downloads are not high enough quality to copy and re-distribute your music from, and the music is not available for download seperately (it's in one big MP3 with the show) Usually under CCC liscences the artist is attributed, and if the show is not-for-profit (carrying no ads) then there is no royalty. On our site we also encode links back to the artist's website or label, and some bands like us to e-mail them every time we include them in a PodCast. And if a band WANTS some samples for download off our site, we will do that too.

The PodCasts' main appeal to the public is the abscence of ads, and the ability to listen to the show whenever you want instead of having to tune in at a given time.

Independant PodCasters can only use non-RIAA music, and only with consent or CCC Liscences. The Magnatune website is wonderful in that it has CCC information for all its' artists. Some bands on their own website or promotional sites have a few CCC songs for promotion, or have CCC information for all thier material. But THE MAJORITY OF INDIE music has no liscencing information for independant broadcast, and also often NO CONTACT information either.

Our Podcast is not alone in starving for content yet wanting to promote independent music. Dozens of PodCasts are popping up daily all over the globe with the same need.

To get your music heard:
Contact PodCasters directly (there is a good link at the www.tmihost.com website to 'PodCast Central')
Wherever your music is posted, add the CCC link (also check out how this works at the same tmi link above under 'Creative Commons'') to the webpage.

Spread the word to get heard.
