We have taken the most common questions and combined them with our site manual and artist page manager manual in a new HELP THREAD!!!! Just use the "HELP" link at the bottom of the home page to get answers on the most common questions at the UBW!

If your need has not been covered there, please feel free to post it here!

Thanks,
Ron

Hey Ron, I'm trying to put a direct link for a song in my page, not just to link my page in a forum topic. I looked through the manual and I didn't see it. I 'd like to link my song "The Zone" without having to link my artist page. Maybe I have too many songs on there and when I ask people to listen to a certain song on my page, i think some may inherintly click the 1st song on the top? Help would be GREATLY appreciated !! Smile

You're doing a great job on this site man!!!

Thanks,

Erick

Thanks for the feedback Erick!!!

Do a "right-click" on the song name and choose 'copy shortcut' then 'paste' it into your post.

http://www.unsignedbandweb.com/music/play.php?band_id=5010&song_id=9619&mode=song_hifi

For example is 'the zone' ...

If you want to make it pretty, you can use another posting feature called 'url' in the top of the forums. Click url then paste your link in there and choose simple text like "PLAY THE ZONE" instead of the above url. That would look something like this:

PLAY THE ZONE!

Let me know if this is what you meant! I'm here to help...

Ron

NO problem. I just re-read my post and noticed that I said SONG NAME, it really should be the 'song play link'.

Sorry about that!

yeah I figured it out . . . thank you, . . . I like what you did for the charts, but are you aware that if you click the bottom of a chart page to look at the whole listing, it always goes to the acoustic genre page?? for instance, if I'm in the instrumental chart front page and clicked the bottom tab to view the whole listing, when the new window opens, it always goes to the acoustic genre . . .?? just to make you aware, if you're not already . . . Thanx again Ron.
There's quite a bit of cool music on this site, and I'm just scatching the surface. . I just listened to memyselfandloops for the fisrt time the other day, that is some really inspirational stuff! . .kudos on the site.

Erick . . .

ps: how do you become a moderator ??

Thanks for the heads up on the charts. I need to fix that!!!

Re the moderator...

I just look for people that are active around the boards for a long period of time (A few hundred posts), and that have a good positive attitude!

Take care!
Ron
