I am not real good at knowing what style my music is, i think it's indie, but i'm not real sure what indie is.

if anyone could tell me if thses songs are properly placed in the indie category

and also, if someone could tell me what indie is,

or what category my music should be in

i would appreciate it very much.

(i don't know how to add links to my songs, but they are "not quite right," "like a girl," and "on your way" by artist Diego Davidenko)

Picking a genre has always been kind of confusing to me. To me your songs would go in the acoustic catagory. As far as indie... I always thought it meant independent.( As in indie lables)... Someone on here should know the correct answer.
I like your stuff... It has a Simon and Garfunkel thing going on. Good job and keep writing!

Thanks. I like your stuff too, especially the song "a way" I love the sound of the guitar and the rhythm of the accompaniment (ie the stereo guitars, and drums)

vocals remind me of machines of loving grace

good luck, keep working on it

I also think the whole genre thing is pretty confusing. if you, or anyone else, is still stuck trying to pick one, just go with your gut instinct and don't worry too much. if people like your music, they won't care about the label you attach to it. keep making good music!!

I really like your stuff. The vocals sound really really nice. The production seems very pure nothing unecessary added. Great writing as well I'd be very interested in how you record your stuff. The vocals sound like how i'd like to get mine. Do you gig, do you have anymore music around on the net to listen to or a website.

Its such a refreshing change to hear something that sounds original. I wouldn't worry about genres and wether you fit here or there. The most important thing is that you are honest with yourself with your music. If its genuinely good then I think some level of success will eventually find you. You should definately be signed.

Very good stuff.

Still listening to it.....it does have a little simon and garfunkel but I can hear also beach boys and the beatles. However they are just little touches as it cleary is original quality music.

Have a listen to mine if you wish.

Cheers
