Just had to share this....
Pork Stew......
Acouple of weeks ago at practice, our drummer Chris went off on one of his many silly conversations, the subject ......Pork Stew. I myself have never heard of pork stew, so we all had a good laugh about it and thought the whole subject was just very silly. The doorbell rang, and me being the Vocalist, its my job to answer it. It was one of the neighbor kids selling raffel tickets. They are usually selling candy, which I dont buy, so I figured I'd buy one. It was for the First Christian Church. After the Child left, I looked at the ticket, and saw that it was for  ... strangely enough.... a side of pork. 
Well, of course we all had a good laugh at that, and gave it to Chris and told him that it was a message from God, and that he must have thought Pork stew was a very good idea, so he should start working out a recipie. A good time was had by all!!
The next day at practice, our guitar player Paul was looking at the ticket, and noticed that the actual drawing date was 3 days before we purchased the ticket.  Needless to say I was a little upset and felt that we were unfairly duped, but at least we had a good laugh about it. We hung the ticket on the practice room door.
Today when I arrived home from work, there was a message from our drummer, wondering when we were getting together for practice. Another msg immediately followed his... It was a man from the First Christian Church, informing us that we had won    A side of Pork...Delivery is at 8:30 tonite. Get out your chef hat Chris.....on the menu........why pork stew of course!!!!!!!@!@
