Thanks to Brooksy for the suggestion, I've attacked "Rome Is Lost" with the freeware program, in an attempt to make it sound a little more professional and a little more appealing. While it's still a lo-fi file and therefore doesn't have the greatest quality, I'm pleased to say that I think I was pretty successful.
Please listen to Rome Is Lost from my page and let me know what you think of it. If you've heard it previously, let me know whether or not I should keep this version or if I should go back to the old file. If this is your first time hearing "Rome Is Lost," just let me know what you think of the song overall.
Thanks,
JMJ |

Glad I could help. Yeah, Audacity is a whole lot better than most (and thanks to Eden Music for suggesting it to me all those years ago, lol.)
The EQ is a whole lot better, and doesn't sound to lo-fi.
See I'm not just a pretty face....No...really....I'm not!!
Keep the songs coming, pal. |

I'm bumping this up because I haven't heard much about the edited version of this song. Please let me know what you think.

Hi JMJ!!!
Definately an improvement in the recording quality. I like the reverb on your voice, well done, and the nice folk guitar sound is great.
This song sounds evern MORE somber now. It really creates a strong ambience... I could see this one ending up in a movie..
