Hi all, after doing lighter songs last week, I’m going to switch back and do some favorite listens from the rock/indie/alternative side of the spectrum this week.
If you want to listen to these on a Radio Station, links for “Weekly Favorites” for This Week, as well as Rock Archives and Lighter Side Archives can be found here: http://www.unsignedbandweb.com/music/bands/1424/radio.php
Artist: Dust Rhinos “Ragged Crow” Celtic. What’s better than starting of the list with a drinking tune. Note the song is from the album “Up your Kilt”. Fun song.

Artist: Goodnight City
“Famous” - I really like this song. introspective lyrics. One of the few songs I wanted to immediately play again right after hearing it the first time. Highly recommended.
Also listen to “Move On” good pop rock tune about ups and downs of music biz.

Artist: Dirty Sanchez and the Poncho Villas “Listen”. First off – Dirty Sanchez and the Poncho Villas has to be the coolest band name I’ve never heard of. It’s up there with the “Lone Rangers” from the movie Airheads “The Lone Rangers? There are three of you- you aren't exactly alone.”
On the music: I love the intro with chants. Deep thumpin’ rock groove with a hook. Good tune.

Artist: Seconds “Little Wonder” Well done acoustic guitar, vocals, piano.
http://www.unsignedbandweb.com/music/bands/151/
Artist: Amazon Blonde. “Soul Survivor” Has an early 80s rock feel. Cool mix of piano in a rock tune. Good vocals.
http://www.unsignedbandweb.com/music/bands/59/
Artist: Sheldon Rourke “1969” a little bit of Stray Cats / Brian Setzer in there. Sounds like upright bass with hollow body - rockabilly. Close your eyes and you can’t help but see skirt twirling dancing.
http://www.unsignedbandweb.com/music/bands/217/
Artist: Young Georgian Lolitaz “Star” this is a synth based rock instrumental with some vocals here and there. Not a style I’d normally listen too and not sure how to describe it, but I like it alot.

Hope you enjoy. If you’ve got some favorites I should hear please PM me or start a thread. smili |

Hah! Not a DJ since high school dances. Now if radio channels were still independent and you could make a job out of sorting through new music and creating playlists - now that would be THE job to have!
You're right - there's some great music here. I'LL SAY IT "BETTER THAN WHAT'S ON THE RADIO - AND WITH A LOT LESS COMMERCIALS!" .... sounds like an ad for UBW?

wow, that was a ways back in time Sheldon. Probably took some digging to find that. The 1969 tune is definitely a good sound. quite a bit different from alot of your other stuff too.
