I am posting this because if you're a UK act you might want to get involved so please read on:
Hello all,
yes it's official this time. The One Eyed Bishop(s) will be returning to The
UK for a series of dates which begin June 12th in Oxfordshire ( more info on
that to be announced soon). Then we have June 18th, 19th & 20th , near
Manchester.
I'm looking for a few more gigs durung the free week indicated above. This
time we would like to try to make it more of a real 'UK visit' with a show
or shows in Wales and Scotland. Currently we are hoping for Cardiff,
Edinburgh & Fife. We'll be teaming up with Steve Andrews, aka 'The Bard of
Ely' in Cardiff http://www.bardofely.com
Additional gigs in England however are also warmly welcomed.
These shows could be anything from small acousitc 'listening rooms, to
supporting slots for other artists in lager pubs or clubs.
If you are in a band and would be interested in using us as a supporting act
, that would be fine.
If you'd like to join the OEB tour lineup at any of the shows please read
on:
I need additional musicans in Bicester ( Oxfordshire), Manchester ,Cardiff,
and any possible Scottish gigs, (these would be in Edinburgh and/or around
Dunfermline in Fife. The lineup(s) for all the gigs remained undetermined,
so , I'm inviting you to become part of it. ( also tell any friends who
might want to do a show or two).
If your interested in being part of these shows, just drop me a line with
your name, instrument and availailibility. Currently the instruments which
we are seeking the most are, hand held percussion, and harmonica, and bass.
That would allow for a nice semi acoustic show. I'll be playing skiffle/R&B
& Boogie Rock-n-Roll, with a smattering of Hawkwind & Sloterdijk. I'll have
an electric guitar as well, so if anyone wants to put together a full tilt
spacerock freakout, Im open to that as well.
If we do an electric set anywhere, we'll be in desparate need of a drummer.
My best mate Jay Adcock will be able to play percussion if he makes the
tour, but it looks doubtful this time round.
All our dates and personnel will be announced asap, however it's too early
to mention them now, as they are still being shuffled around. Come help make
something happen. Contact us back burner.
Remember open dates are as of now: June 13th-June 17th
Cheers! Mike

There are literally thousands of trees awaiting the axe and hundreds that
have already been felled.
All this for a short stretch of new road.
