Hi all, I am new to the board and I promise I will not be one of those to come on here and post two times just to promote my band. Music is the foundation that we all stand, it brings us all together. Anyway, I will get past my boring talking and show you my band. I would love if yall have myspace to add us, and leave us feedback. My band is an instrumental jam band that is influenced by phish/medeski martin and wood/many other people. We are starting to get a lot of things going and getting a nice fan base and many shows. However, I want to expand our music to others to see how they feel about it. Our link is The Walrus and The Carpenter I would also ask, if you respond to this to tell me what you think and to post your band on here so that I may respond to your music. Cheers all! |

This is my first review here. As luck would have it you posted. Im listening to it right now and enjoying every second of it. Reminds of Zappa. It would provide a nice soundscape if riding around on a bicycle hallucinating or perhaps just running arins not hallucinating. I started out with Chris Caine (live) the mix made it seem to start rough but soon found myself digging. Your guitar player rips. In fact the whole band is tight as a well......nevermind (I have to dirty of a mind to finish that sentence). That is what is reminding me of Zappa I think. Night in Tunesia flowed very nice but I feel like it needs another layer. A rippin trumpet player IMO will bring it to life. Wut it do? is sweet too. Overall very nice. Glad I had a chance to listen to your stuff this morning.
Here is a link to my bands page.

Ooh, such a tight sound! You guys rock. I can totally see how you get a Zappa feel Reptilianbrain. Your drummer's pretty sick too. My only criticism is that it deserves to be mastered better (highs seem to peak out a lot), unless that's just compression decay (Myspace sucks). If you have hifi versions you should upload some here, if not I'd gladly offer a hand in mastering; I'd like to hear you stuff with a cleaner sound.
By the way, thanks for the review the other day.
Keep on playin!
Again, you guys absolutely rock! |

wow guys thanks alot! Myspace kills the sound of songs, but the recordings are not too special themselves . They were recorded by a friend live, but we are actually getting to record at a very nice studio coming up for free! 7 words live was very dirty and rocking btw. Thank you for your words they mean alot guys. |

I listened to "Chris Caine". Great piece of music. Zappa yes but really your own. Very much so. It has such an cohesive nature to it as your band thinks on the same page. You guys have some magic together. I could listen to this over and over. It goes to show you that even if something doesn't have the best audio, recording wise, if the music is right, it's easy to listen to and enjoyable at that. You should upload your music on this site. It's free and you can post 2 or 3 pieces and the sound is superior to most other sites as the streams don't rely on the site player but the users. -rl |

Being compared to Zappa is mind blowing. Thank you for your kind words. We jam man, we never play the song the same it is a good feeling. We are hitting a studio soon so we should have some pretty tight sounding songs. Myspace kills audio, I will post a couple of songs on here today. Thanks again guys. |

Pretty good actually. I'd listen to it again. My kind of thing if I'm in the mood. I'm no professional so this is going to sound vague but it could do with a slightly heavier sound, more body in parts. But yes it's good. |
