Very,Very good.......sorry but I am not much of a fan for this genre...but i have to tell ya...i know talent when i hear it, and you people have it,
I liked the break at 1:00 into the song.....the singer has a dynamic voice,
and the musicianship is spot on.
oh and should i mention that this was well recorded as well.
Thanks for sharing! |

i'm not a indie guy at all but this make the music well, bit to much 1 to 4 khz volume band...this sounds a bit noisy...especially the vocals...singer is very good ! i can understand the lyrics a bit cause clear voice...make me think to an era where i was listening some more calm and vocal music like texas ect...
very nice !
work on mastering, make it less dry and accoustic, boost a bit bass ect...
cheers |

Vocal is really strong on this. Nice job recording and mixing the vocal. Really nice song. The only comment I'd make is that the "In the country" lyrics take me back to the farm, and the popish staccato violin/orchestral parts don't really fit with the picture I have of sitting under a willow tree by the pond.
Enjoyable listen. |

Hey there, I listened to "No Sleep". Nice, nice song. Reminds me of Natalie Merchant. You know, 10.000 maniacs. A lower midrange on the vocals would add a more musical blend and lessen the hard edge to the sound and the mix will be perfect! Just a suggestion not a complaint. Love the song! -RL |

hope you don't mind, but i took the liberty to correct the link in your post at the top of the thread, since i hit it first before reading Gunner's post...i figured that there are other dummies like me who would do the same, so i decided to help my kind.
this kind of has a 10,000 Maniacs/Natalie Merchant feel to it. i like the production or the track and the full instrumentation, very nice indeed. the vocals are also done well and layered well. getting picky, there are a few rough spots in the mix and performance, as is often the case when blending various vocal tracks for example; but, it's a really good mix all said and done.
i'm not all that much into vocal music, so i wasn't paying attention the the lyrics, just the melody of the voice(s). i can't offer anything regarding content. thanks for sharing and best of luck! |

I must admit I haven't heard a better female vocal recently! It's so sexy and charming. An excellent production.
Also, people, there are three new internet radio stations launched these days within a music promotion software called "Sombrero MPG". I find your music good enough to be a part of it. If interested in it, see more details on Sombrero MPG Music Promotion , download the free software from this link to your computer and run the "SombreroMPG_Setup.exe". You'll see, it's very cool. I'd be glad to see you there![/align] |
