Hello all, this week’s favorite listens is going to be a departure from the normal focus on primarily rock/indie type tunes and will focus instead on acoustic, country and pop oriented genres. I’m not affiliated with any of the artists – just like the songs.

A couple of new “Weekly Favorites” radio channels have been created to help accommodate the largely different genre’s represented here (and keep the mood of the radio channels consistent (songs change from the hard rock of Tilterworld to the vocal calm of Rose Reiter.) Going forward I’ll maintain picks on Hifi and Lofi “Rock Archives” channels and “Lighter Side Archives” for easier listening.

Ligher Side Radio Channels
Hifi http://www.unsignedbandweb.com/music/play.php?mode=radio&id=186
Lofi http://www.unsignedbandweb.com/music/play.php?mode=radio&id=187

Below are some the favorite tunes I've come across in Acoustic, Country, Pop.

Artist: Joe Mersch and Dwayne McCobb “Walk this burden down”. This is an all around fine song and performance. Rootsy, acoustic, bluegrass. Hifi stream only.

Artist: Buffalo Son. “Glorious Tonight”. Thanks to unproject for pointing me to this fine song. Buffalo Son has a detailed UBW artist page you may also like to visit.

Artist: Rose Reiter “Phantoms” Rose’s song is one of the favorite tunes I’ve come across on UBW. I’m a Sarah McLachlan fan and this is in that style.

The Darren Flowers Band: “Keep Me Awake” Rich acoustic guitar sound; good songwriting.

Artist: Tim Brantley. “Angel” laid back 70s/80s piano vibe.

Artist: Franklin Moore. “Motive Force” and “June Bug” are both excellent acoustic guitar instrumentals. I’m a fan of guitar instrumental music, and Franklin Moore’s tunes are top notch. I’m particularly partial to “Motive Force”

Artist: A Certain Type of Person. “Holding On”

Artist: Laurelyn Carter “Run My Way” and “My Turn To Fall” are both well done modern country songs. Great vocals.

Leslie Mather: “The Pledge” A 9-11 inspired modern country tune. Good vocal.

Artist: Josh Aran: “High Like Atmosphere” good mood

I haven’t cleaned up the Rock channels yet fully to reflect the new “Lighter Side” playlist, but will soon.

Thanks for listening, and if you have any favorite songs I should be hearing please PM me… I’m always on the lookout for cool tunes. Hope you enjoy

Just when I think I've heard every song on the UBW, you bring something to my attention that I've missed.

I'm listening to Josh Aran now. Fantastic music, nice vocals, and very smooth.

Smili has done it again!!!!!!
