Lost State of Mind would like everyone's opinion on our songs. These are old songs of ours that we thought we'd share with everyone. It was recorded over the summer. We'll be in the studio recording our new album soon. Please feel free to express your views of our music. We like to hear what everyone thinks. Thanks, and rock on

Hi & Welcome to the Unsigned Band Web!!!!!

I'm listening to "they" now.....

A couple of comments....
Arrow Your singer has a fantastic voice....
Arrow I really like the guitar driven melody of this song, and the other instruments sound very tight as well.
Arrow I like the overall groove and structure.
I really enjoyed this song!!!!

I'm looking forward to getting to know your music!!!

Take care,
Ron

Cooksey here.......Listened to a song......site is bogging down bad........doesn't happen too often. You need to convert your hi-fi versions to 128 kbps. The 192 kbps is what you need as a master. Sorry you din't already know this. anyways.......I was relieved to hear you finally, and that you are pretty good too. I don't agree with the way they badmouth you on theirty2life's BB. But, I don't agree with the way they badmouth The LIGHT either....hehe I hope the music will win out over their campaign of hate. And then I will see your uploads at our http://jonesboromusic.com site. We are using the same software as Unsigned is using. But they are using phpnuke as the frontend to their jamroom software. We are using Xoops for our frontend. Our site opens around November 1, but Artist signup and mp3 uploading is available now.
Take care, and Let the Music Do the Talking if you wanna succeed.

Listening to "they" now, I like the riff. only comment might be to pull the vox back a tad in the mix - it really stands way out in front.

Listening to "Cover" now, Nice mood in intro. Conversion to riff is cool. Same comment on vocal - might pull it back into the mix by 0.5 to 1.0 db. chorus buildup is cool. octaves on guitar work. vocal is a off key in places and pulls me a little out of the groove of the song, but overall the mood works for the song. This tune is my favorite of the two.

thanks for posting, smili

Lost State of Mind would like to invite everyone from UBW down to Paragould, Arkansas to see a great rock show showcasing the greatest local bands from NE Arkansas. Bands scheduled to play include: Firebox, Thirty 2 Life, Dark Embrace, Lost State of Mind, and Vision Tongue.

By the way, that could be a great idea to start some offical UBW gigs! Like put some shows together and all the bands meet up, highlight their music, and make some money for UBW as well as get the name out there even more. This is a great site. Rock on!

Luke, I know you are TRYING to be like us. No one has ever referred t o any of those bands as "great", til you did here. LOL Maybe IF you would stick to the facts, YOU COULD ACTUALLY REMEMBER TO TELL PEOPLE "WHERE" THE EVENT IS BEING HELD" ! LOL I wish you guys WOULD join Jonesboro's Music scene, but that constant hating and fighting you guys are always busy with ain't cutting it.
MAybe you should tell everyone WHY you hate everyone who is over 25 years old, and why all of you united in hatred against Jonesboro's greats ? For those who don't know, ALL the bands listed by Luke have started a campaign of hate and criminal acts against Jonesboro's great music leaders. Just recently, these guys started in on the great Joe Lee. Joe Lee founded Jonesboro's FIRST recording studio. He has played in bands such as the Bill Black Combo. Yep, that's Elvis Presley's band ! Joe Lee also played for Mel Torme and many other well-known artists. Joe has recorded over 150 artists, and his close friends are the men of Memphis' Sun Studios !
For those who want to see the story behind this, We own Jonesboro's ONLY mp3 upload site. The site has it;s grand opening Nov 1, 2004. You'll see, Alley Records songs there, but you won't see even ONE song from ANY of these "great" bands. I appeal to you ONE last time, stop basing your EVERY word and action on your hatred of Jonesboro's music legends. Please. You guys have almost completely ostracized yourselves permanently. HATE is NOT a "uniting force" as ALL of your buddies insist. It destroys everyone who embraces it. Good luck to you Luke, but even luck will fail you as long as you continue to rely on hate.

ATTENTION: The Light....

I know we've had some dialog in the past and I really liked the vibe you brought to our boards! You've got great music and we want YOU HERE! However....

I must ask you to refrain from using our boards for 'venting' about issues that no-one here even knows about. I'm not taking sides as I have NO IDEA what your talking about, but I do know that the negativity doesn't help ALL of my visitors that have no idea about JONESBORO music. We are an INTERNATIONAL site, so negative local issues have no place on our boards.

Best of luck with your Jonesboro music site and I wish you VERY MUCH success. Please come here anytime you want feedback on your music or to leave feedback for other musicians! That's what we're all about.

If you have any questions, please PM me, as I don't want this thread, which is supposed to be about the original posters music, to become a back and forth about this issue.

Thanks!
Ron
