Anyone who knows hip hop will realize that the song blends several Lil Wayne instrumentals; with Bigg Verb DaVinci rapping on each of them. (Aside from the first; which is a Jewelz Santana beat).

I knew that I'd love the track-the second that I heard the introduction. What BV says about 'other rappers not saying anything about his adversary's fraudlence' just seemed to hit home with me.

First, he attacks his credibility (or lack, thereof) as a member of the Bloods. (Or, at least, a REAL member). He does a good job of keeping it interesting and appealing to the real Bloods to please stand up and not allow this guy to rep them!

The beat transitions into "Pop Bottles" and BV starts attacking Wayne on the allegation that he didn't/doesn't write his own lyrics. He continues with that-and a lot more-over the "Duffle Bag Boy". He also attacks the fact that Wayne raps about the struggle and hustling but had a deal at 12 years old. Some funny punchlines and just before the "Best Rapper Alive" verse kicks in, the way that the artist introduces why he is doing the dis lets you know that this isn't for publicity. It's for the betterment of hip hop.

Good beat selection and transitions. Good flow. Above-average comedy for a dis. Entertaining. Lyrically, it's very good, as well.

Score: 4 of 5.

thanks for sharing, but to just be up front about this: i'd rather have a link to a stream than download this track. i (as well as others) are more likely to give the effort for a review if i can just click a link and listen. downloading requires a little more effort and i'd rather know if i like the track or not before i download. if i'm not going to use/listen to it, i don't want it on my hard drive. makes sense. i'm also even less likely to d/l a track from someone i've never heard of from a site that i'm not too familiar with, especially if the site isn't a music site. Megaupload is all fine and good, but i only go their to d/l if i know the file is legit and i'm familiar with the source. i don't doubt that you've got the real deal posted there and that you're out there promoting like the rest of us. just a tip, you'll get more exposure from a stream than you will from having everyone d/l your tracks if they want to sample. most people offer both, so if people dig it, they can get it right away.

i'll keep my eyes on this thread and if you post a link to a stream, i'll give it a listen. best of luck to you! Very Happy

Here here, gorgatron! Couldn't agree more. I would also like to add... Show us (UBW members) a little respect.. just a little, by putting or (sharing) your music with this site by uploading the song here. You know, the place where you feel so compelled to post a message to all listeners. I find it interesting that so many musicians want UBW members to listen to their music when it's not posted on this site. This is a great site for anyone worth listening to who wants exposure fast and the layout is amoung the best I've seen. It's easy. It's free!

I get what you guys are sayin...the dis isn't even the best of what the mixtape has to offer but, it's what people raise their eyebrows at, initially. Here's the song...with a lil pic vid...or you can visit me, personally at myspace.com/biggverbdavinci for the entire mixtape. There's a blog where you can listen to the entire thing and THEN download it.

*can't get vid to embed and the stream won't work...so here's the youtube link or just hit up my myspace!

I'm going to have to make an artist page. For sure. But, doesn't making one that is actually functional cost money?

No. the basic (or trial but there's not a limit on time) artist page is about the same and is free. you can upload about 3 songs at 128k and you can put as much written content and prompts as you need or want. Just try it and see how it goes. -RL.

thanks for the link, man! damn, you really don't like that lil' wayne fella!!! lol interesting photo montage, btw.

since i don't know the whole back story, although i was able to get point, it's difficult to appreciate certain lines that i know are probably well understood by the scene. i will say that whoever is doing your beats is on the money! together with the vocals, it has a really good flow and changes up a lot to keep things interesting. it's like 3 tight old-school beats in one 3 min track. it has a lot of energy, too. i don't just hear and understand the thought your conveying, but feel it, too. it's obvious that 'dislike' is too mild of a term. lol if you can get that guy to battle, be sure to put it up on youtube.

Kool Keith was the original 'Black Elvis,' though. Very Happy

as for the profiles and such, the last time i checked, 2 Deep from New Orleans is the top artist on the whole site and gets a ton of plays...i'm a whole freaking lot. he has the free account and just rotates a couple tracks. if you're also really pushing, it's good to get your music on several sites and in forums.

thanks again for sharing, best of luck and hope to get a chance to review another track sometime!
