Please excuse me if I offend anyone.... but... I hate it when people list just a clip of their music on this site or any site for that matter. This tells me that they just don't care to share their music without some kind of profit or they're just snobbish. This really gets to me and there's one artist who has a least 8 or 9 different names who is relentless on this site. I won't name names but one of them is indeed foul. I know that it's an option when you upload but, for the life of me, I don't know why. I can also understand if someone is just listing a clip for a few comments of what others might think before they list the finshed piece. That's cool and more then welcomed. But every listing? Common! I have said it before and I'll say it again. This is called "unsignedbandweb" not "hey, you don't know me from shit alley but screw you anyway and listen to my clip because you're not good enough for the whole song"! Do you want to know how I really feel?

the yellow is indeed pretty spiffy.
glad you mentioned it, though. i didn't mean for it to stay that way. it definitely demands attention, no?
and to take us back to where RL started: yes, clips do suck! the exceptions having already been mentioned, i'll spare ye incorrigible rouges any redundant rhetoric.
it's especially bad if the motivation is to lure people to make a purchase when they thought they were being asked to just review a track. if that goes on, i would probably first ask the user to post that stuff in the proper forum. if that didn't work, i might move it for them.  i haven't seen a case of that so far, and i hope not to start now.
final verdict on clips: weak!!!  |

it sickens me when money becomes the object of making music.....too me that is not a true artist...so on that note..... |

agree... I understand teasers, but clips just turn me off. I've bought some maybe 5-10 albums of artists on this site, but they've given me enough to make me want to hear more. clips don't do it. |
