I like the structure of the song...and it is written well, my critique is the recording quality.....and it really takes away from the song......the vocals are too up front and the mix is really 'tinny'...but, other than that, i liked it....
thankfully some of us here have the ability to look through this because we dont have million dollar studios...lol...Just to pass on to ya, i read a review recently at another website about a song that was recorded the best they could, the reviewer slammed everybody in the band about how bad they were etc...etc....I went and listened to the track and these guys were really good (Musically) but the recording was really bad, anyway, i guess my long winded point here is, everybody needs to listen past the recording quality and actually listen to the musicians...ok, I am done.
keep on rockin!!! |

I see its now listed as 'Hard Rock'. I think that's appropriate. And I agree with gunner's remarks above re: recording quality. I certainly understand using what you've got, money limitations etc, but..... a poor recording can really hold an artist back. Upon 1st listen I can definitely hear talent but being truthful I have no desire to listen again (because of the poor recording). I guess it all depends on what your ultimate goals are but my advice is always to do what you have to do to get 2 or 3 songs recorded as best as you possibly can. You want something that really showcases what the band is all about. |
