All, I’m going to be out the rest of the weekend helping my Dad move into his new house, so here are my weekly favorite listens. We have rock, blues, pop, and something called “classical”… Shocked Hope you enjoy

Artist: Template. “Holly Wouldn’t” Epic production. Well done all around. At 7:15 it’s a long trip, but they make it work with ease. Some fine guitar playing. Excellent vocals. After hearing this I wish they had another tune up on the site.

Artist: De La Vega “What we Are” and “Lies” are both good. Heavy but musical. “What We Are” stays in my head and the chorus finds its way back to me at various points in the day.

Artist: Connary Fagan. Check out the piano tune “Holiday in Arcadia”. This is way outside of the rock/indie/alt/pop vein of most of the weekly picks. It’s listed as classical, but it’s sortof like “classical rock.” I found myself going back to play this over and over. If you like this also check out “Ardency.”

Artist: Andy Durand. “Y ask Y”. Blues Rock. Reminds me a little of the tune “Blue on Black” by Kenny Wayne Sheppard band. Nice smooth groove throughout.

Artist: Fionna Faulk “I’ll be OK” - artistic pop - maybe a little Alanis Morisette influence. Nice songwriting and performance. “Rimshots” is also very nice. Acoustic guitars and vocals. Hifi stream option only.

…And finally, to finish the list off this week with a bang…

Artist: Unfinished Thought. “Through Crowded Rooms”, My wife ran into the room and made me replay this one when she heard it from the other end of the house. “Umbrella” is good also – much more laid back than the first. “Evening” is interesting also – a little different.

Ron,

there's so much good music on this site. I also encourage everyone to take time to listen to these. I'm certainly not trying to exclude anyone by creating a "listening list", but am trying to instead point out some of the very good music I find in th genres that I enjoy.

You can probably see from the admin side from my downloads that I listen to "a lot" of songs before coming up with a list of 5 or 6 new artists.

Hey everybody!

I'm not sure if this posting is way old or anything (I suppose I COULD just look @ the date, but oh well, I'm typing now :-p), but I just wanted to say thanks for checking out my music & listing it on your quick review...very, very cool!

Take care all & have a good one!
