Here's another idea I had archived from a while back.
There's just no time to work on too many ideas at once. 
Hopefully the band will address this one some day too.
Any feedback is helpful. The more well-rounded the track is before I present it properly to the rest of the band, the less screwing around and changing is likely to happen. 
bah who am I kidding - we'll screw around and change it all anyway

It's always hard to look at a track in progress without the fully finished piece, but this is what I hear so far.
The beginning guitar part is good enough, but it feels like I've heard it a bunch of times before. When the bass comes in it really picks up with the mixing parts though. The crunchy guitar riff jumps in unexpectedly, which is a good thing. There were a couple of spots where the rhythm felt off on it for me, but that may be intentional.
I liked the guitar sound on the harmony guitar around 1:40. Couple of nice bends in there.
My one big thought was I'd like to see the tempo increased on this significantly and see what it sounds like. I think that would make it an entirely different song...might try that and see what comes out. |
