ASTAROTH - It came from the deep

Well this song is well named. Without a doubt a great Psy/Goa Trancer.

The song begins with a little bass drum stutter that sounds almost like the song is gonna be a breakbeak...quickly changes gears with the addition of the 4/4 kick at :15. Some lazy congos with lots of echos are nice..but tend to get a bit repetative after a couple min. The melody build-up is great. This song has more of a club bassline...but the melodies without a doubt make it goa.

1:06 the change is a little abrupt..maybe could be smoothed out with some kinda of big fx. The melody here is great though it ends a touch early in my opinion. The little back ground noises are great. The first blackline is nice...very dark. It also comes in a little abruptly...this song would really benifit from some additional editing on the transitions. The melody after the beat kicks at 2:46 is great. The interaction between the two synths used during the breakdown sound great together.

Nice sounds at 3:50, but things are starting to sound very familar..such as the little congo parts. 4:30 is a great melody as well..i love that acid sound. The breakdown here is great...i love how the high noises bring the beat back in. When the melody changes at 5:10 i think the little high pitched noise could be cut. Hmm should that melody have come in earlier..bahh doesnt matter, i love that acid melody!
6:30 has some good examples of back ground pads and such...sounds good. A nice little climax.

Well the melodies..all 5 or 6 of them are great. The mastering is great if not perfect. I would have put this song together a bit diffrently...but i will not hold that againest you. Smooth out some transitions for a goa masterpiece Cool

9/10
