howdy! not sure if i posted this for review back when it was recorded, so tell me if you've heard it through the reviews forum and i'll delete it and add something i know i haven't submitted. this is a really, really long improv bit that my friend and i recorded live at a really small cafe in St. Joe, MO on a couple of dynamic mikes. the recording quality can't really be saved. lol it was also the first time that we attempted to do this, so there are some spots where you think everything has just gone to hell. but then, we seem to pull it back together again. it's made up of several themes that we play around a lot with during practice...or i should say that we used toplay around a lot with since we haven't been doing much lately. hopefully that will change. anyhow, this track has no name, it's just and improv:

enjoy...i hope! |

thanks man! yeah, the group making all kinds of noise just happens to include the next act as it's ring leader. needless to say, we've refused to ever share a stage with that co*ksucker again! glad you enjoyed it! |

recording is not so bad considering a small very live piece in a coffee, however the global volume seem change too much while the track, you could add a bit of sphere/delay too, cause the recording sound very dry with headphone, the guitar playing is better than the recording quality in my opinion, but this time the song doesn't give me good feelings, i know i'm a bit angry and nervous today and this kind of music doesn't speak to me today, i feel it a bit too repetitiv too, and sometimes i feel to much loudness in the recording...you know i'm not a fan of live at all, please take it easy, however this is not drunken, i'm sad to say that today i don't feel at the best listening music so i've got an angry over critiscism today lol sorry man |

thanks fellas...and PPB, i know that this style of music isn't really your main cup of tea. no worries. we needed to kill some time during a show and just played whatever we felt like around the five themes. i also agree it's repetitive. my bandmate and i fight about this all the time. i hate it when stuf drags out forever and he doesn't know when to stop. we've had a couple better attempts when doing this live, but, unfortunately, none of them ever made it to disc. the setup for recording at the cafe are very very crude. i've considered taking my gear, but also don't want all the smoke around it...plus there's the chance that a drunk might knock the shit over.
anyhow, thanks for the comments. i just couldn't remembered if i had submitted this before.
Cheers! |
