very blues intro...also pretty dark. was this originally recorded in analog? the mix is a little noisy and there is some hissing that is almost inaudible. i think if i was listening to this in my car i wouldn't be able to hear it.

the song structure is pretty basic, but still catchy. i'm still a sucker for grimy blues...the dirtier the better! Laughing i dig the guitar licks. nicely done. i can't put my hand on what it is about the vocals that i'm not fond of. maybe that they are not very strong. i know that's part of the deal, but it almost sounds like you're almost talking in pitch more than singing. then the song cuts out all the sudden without the kick-ass solo! come on! Laughing jk

it's a nice number and would still have some room for growth. but, as is the case with several of my old numbers, at some point it's as good as it's going gto get and it's on to the next one. really great effort and on the whole, aside from a few mixing issues, it's a solid recording. definitely would have been a very killer demo. nice work!

Recording is too flat , good compo and lyrics but the way you have recorded/mastered instruments make that only the vocals go out, i mean only the vocals sounds good in my headphones, the guitar have bit of bad saturation in the middle and the instruments are not spaced at all, the instrumentals compo is good for your song , vocals are well recorded but just work on the instrumental mastering, you told you are working on it so i permit to hurt a bit...i know this is easy to talk and recording well accoustic instruments or vocals are not at all my personal work but i can hear as everybody. You may masterise with headphones you'll c the instrumental don't fallow your vocal work.
cheers

yeah dude, i think he recorded this analog...or at least at a time when good gear was a lot more expensive! lol but yeah, PPB and i are talking about the same thing , i think, when i talk about the mix being a bit muddled.

Thanks for the response my peeps! Like i said this was just something that hit me years ago.. i was browsing through an old pc of mine and came across this. I liked it when i did it, and as far as that goes, i wrote it, and recorded it in about 15 mins, vox were recorded through a pc mic, direct in, with a pair of panty hose over it for pop.... guitars were one takers miked through the same pc mic and an gretch amp, and the software was guitar trax 1.0 i believe.... all in all i think it came out ok.... yeah man, it definitely came out ok. i'm sure you've noticed that there are some of us that just love to pick a song to death...but that's just what we do. Laughing hope you don't take offense. i try to talk about the mechanics of a record as opposed to whether i like it or not since i run across tracks that really aren't my cup of tea. don't ever think that anything i write (or PPb for that matter) is meant in a malicious way. that's not at all what we're about! Very Happy

thanks for your comment the other day on my track and keep us posted on any new/old material you put up. cheers! Cool

No offense taken...i just came across this... and thought i'd post it for a day or two.... and i agree.... as far as mechanics...but really, how great can $100 worth of software sound in comparison $500,000 worth of studio....???
