Yeah, good stuff. I dunno about modern PPB, it sounded very seventies Doobie Brothers to me (nothing wrong with that). The sound quality wasn't finished artical, but was fine for a demo. Keep em comming. |

All the songs have been replaced in my folder so the first two links are now polished product instead of the rough mixes they were. Just in case you want to have the other links ill just list them all here.
The Album is called "Pavement Hits" and contains seven songs.

I have to agree, that "Blind" sounds very 70's like. The vocals fit in perfect and the guitar gives the song a kind of hollyday-feeling (summer, sun, etc.).
Keep up the good work!

i don't agree that 'Blind' sounds 70's. the guitar track definitely has a sort of 'Long Train Running' sound, but the song structure actually reminds me more of something that might have hit the radio in the early 80's...81-83. the vocal harmonies add to this. what sets it apart from both periods is the switch to a straight 4/4 right before the chorus. this has a little too much post-79 new wave in it to be 70's. if there was a lot of blues mixed into this, i would probably have agreed. it's a fun track to listen to. the vocals remind me a lot of some 80's bands i used to really dig. unfortunately, i'm drawing on some names at the moment. i think you guys have done well to take a lot of familiar, classic elements and wrap them into a track that is pretty accessible in the Now.it's fun and upbeat and the vocals are pretty good. one thing i noticed, though, was that the guitar sounds pretty tinny throughout. i'm curious what the mastered version will sound like. good luck! |

I've downloaded all songs.
@Suicide Hand Puppets: Those are links to wma files, so everybody is able to download them. I don't know how, but you have to change them into m3u files (playlists) or something like that.

@ El_Zorro_Loco: if you have windows media player, it should open just fine. i haven't had any issues with it. you can also probably choose the option to save to disk and do it that way. i'll try it out, though, before claiming that it works....back in a moment. |
