for some reason i don't know if its my comp or the recording,
its coming through with too much gain and distorting it.

I'm not sure how it happened, or if it means anything at all on this site, but this song is on the charts here...#87. Thanks to whomever, and however that happened. THANKS!

ubw is not a site where only vip users make you climb the charts, each people from everywhere listening to your stuff from everywhere give you points, most of #1 ranked peoples in the charts doesn't have a paid account here but they just rock really. This is the point and promo is the key too...just keep active with sharing spoken on the net and promoting, reviewing, posting etc...and you'll be up and you prove that you have lot of interest for music, so yours should be good...

cheeers Very Happy

Good deal! thanks for the response.... I wonder if a paid account had anything to do with the charts, but that doens't make alot of sense to have to pay to be on the charts now does it!....

Thanks again!

i doubt a paid account had much to do with the chart placement. here what often happens:

you submit a song for review. those that review it listen to it, but so do a bunch of other people who skim the forums looking for whatever. at some point you have enough plays per day to break into the charts at a pretty decent level. at that point, those people that mainly search the charts, because they feel that's where they'll find the best songs, also start listening to your track. there are a lot more people searching the charts than the forums. once you get into the top 10 you'll notice that you stay there for quite a while because there are still more people that just listen to the top 10 or 20. and just follow the logic from there. i used to also wonder how it worked and once one of our tracks made into the charts, i started performing a few experiments. i won't go into that, but lets just say that there are ways to get more listens by having a song in the charts and how you position your tracks on your profile. doesn't always work, but often does/has.

but in the end, it always means that people must be enjoying the track you've got in there; otherwise, people who go to the charts regularly would specifically remember that they didn't like the song.

good luck! Cool
