i've had that a few times, but thought it was because i had recently started using Winamp instead of iTunes for all my .m3u playlist needs,
a song will get anywhere from .5-.75 ways through and the cut out. a couple times it happened kind of fast, but it might have been one of those people that leave a snippet. i left some comments for some people a while back and had two songs where i mentioned that the song had ended abruptly. it usually happens after i've played a couple tracks.
as i said, i thought it was the player. the couple tracks i listened to today were fine, though. i'll keep my ears open. |

I changed to a couple different players too, but happens on different players (at least changed between Windows Media and VLC to check). thanks for the confirmation. |

well, i can't say for sure. i probably noticed for the first time a few weeks back. i remember it most vividly when i was reviewing some tracks by Christopher Rennie. i think i left him a comment about how abruptly the track ended. it was towards the end of the song, so i didn't think much of it. then i listened to another track and it did the same thing. i thought it was probably the player or a temporary glitch, so didn't think to say anything about it. i've noticed it another time as well and know it wasn't more than a month ago, but i couldn't tell who i was listening to at the time and what exactly happened other than the track ended abruptly. it also would usually happen after i had listened to a few tracks already.
it doesn't happen with every track, or at least it hasn't with me. i haven't had much time to listen to music the last few days and won't for a while to come. i'll pay closer attention the next time i listen and will report any findings. |

did you do something related to this specific issue? it's obvious that you were doing something. |

No the outtage last night was a server hang, I haven't changed the play scripts in a while, so I'm trying to figure out if this play bug is new or something that's been happening for awhile. |

i listened to tracks for over an hour last night and didn't have any problems. i'll still keep looking for it. i hope it was just a temporary glitch...if there is such a thing. good luck! |

Ron, sorry for delay - I've been out of town for work for the past week and am just checking back in. I'd probably noticed it for a maybe a week or two prior the post... I'll let you know if still notice it going forward. |
