I have attempted to email but I guess you're too busy so I'll try this. I have lost over 10.000 play counts on my page as well as over 3000 download counts. I know this has happened before and was restore for the most part so I'm guessing you're aware of the problem. I don't know but I hope this helps you and me.
Kindly, Rich |

hey lodato,
i've left a message and the thread below outlining some fo the problems i've noticed since some updates were carried out between Sat. and Sun. i'm assuming that the issue you're experiencing is part of the bigger picture. i haven't noticed that my play count has been screwy since the updates, but as you mentioned, it has been a problem before.
have you tried counting all of your plays/downloads individually per song and then tallying the numbers? that was how i kept track of my real play count the last time and it's how i knew that the fix worked. i haven't been keeping up with our play count lately, so i can't tell you if we're having the same problem and if keeping track that way works for the moment.
i'm sure it'll all get sorted soon. |

Thanks for the report.
We are working on this and will have it resolved ASAP, we are working on scaling the back-end of our site so that we can handle more traffic without slowing down, and the work is ongoing. While you shouldn't see much downtime (perhaps an hour this Friday), it does create annoying side affects. We will clean these up as quickly as possible.
I apologize for the inconvenience.. |

glad you enjoy the track! i wish we had more moments like that...or even like the rest of the track. it's painful to have my energies diverted...i just want to have my room, my instruments, my other "tools of the trade," swallow a few horse tranqs, and make music. philosophy, anthropology, the history of Eastern Germany...yes, these things bring joy (and suffering), but none of it sounds as beautiful or carries the same weight of emotion as the harmonious bliss of a single, perfect note, played crisp and clear from just about any instrument (soft-synths included!!!). as of tomorrow night, i will finally be able to turn my attention to music for the next few weeks. it's been several months and i just hope i haven't forgotten how to shape sound, or, rather, the little that i know/knew.
thanks again for letting me know what you think! it reminds me that there's another side of myself that people can still access. be well! |
