Sibelian,
It was a pleasure to listen to your songs! I downloaded "Sibelian," "the Return," and "Dew upon your lips." I wanted to use "HiFi" songs for my review.
First of all, let me tell you, my first impression of your songs was very positive. As I listened to each of them for the second and third time, I liked them more and more. I sense a real spirituality and depth to your music that is sometimes missing in this genre. The male and female vocals on these tracks is outstanding. I would say almost operatic in their delivery. I was also very impressed in your descretion in not overdoing the music. The music was subtle and really just a backdrop for the story being told by tremendous voices. My favorite song was:
Sibelian: The male vocals are enchanting. I love the deep drums, slowly building into the female vocals. The female vocals are incredibly moving. The contrast of the two create a powerful struggle within the song. The music brings a dynamic beat and mixes a modern feeling into this otherwise old world story. The layered male vocals are outstanding. The lyrics are very well written, and are quite touching. Great Song!
Thank you for bringing your music to our attention! Your songs were great. I've already bookmarked your site for future listening. |
