I'm new to UBW, just getting into the forums and hearing some great diverse music. I'm going to review as much music as I can, but meanwhile I also have a page full of music and I'd love to know what people think about any of it: http://www.unsignedbandweb.com/alex_marczak
If you leave a comment on any of my songs I will definitely come and listen to your music and comment back, I'll give you some free downloads if you want them as well. Any comments are welcome, I'd rather they weren't centred around the music production because it's all produced at home on a dodgy PC so it's not studio quality, anything you have to say about the songwriting or performance on the other hand I am most interested in! |

Hi,
Listened to "Mars and back" and i must say i dig it !
Reminds me a bit of the swedish band Hellacopters with that nice 70 groove.
One thing i would do is to lower the distorsion on the guitar a bit, you have the goove in the riff and to much distorsion takes it away. *get some more tubefeeling in guitar sound

having a listen to 'Happiness is Mine.' at the moment. sounds pretty good. like the record player sound you've added. i like the guitar progression and you have a pretty good voice. i'm not a big fan of the subject matter, but if you're around here long enough, you'll notice i'm not a big lyrics fan to begin with, so, yeah, i'm biased. but i like the way the song is put together. if it's from two perspectives, would it work as a duet?
the guitar works is really nice. it's simple, but it's always going somewhere, which i'm a big fan of. also like the addition of the piano.
all in all, it's a nice track. the mix is good, although maybe the vocals are a little too present. i knwo they need to sit on top of everything else, but at some points i feel they are a little too loud and it obscures what's going on underneath. good work! |
