I am pleased to announce that we have implemented an API that will allow developers to create scripts, programs, or web pages that give our artists additional exposure throughout the web.
We have grown steadily over the past few years, and we now have over 10,000 songs in our database spanning all genre's of music. This API will allow us to provide the 'back-end' for developers looking to provide music content for their projects.
A couple of important points for artists:
1) The API only allows 'links' to content on the UBW, it does not actually move content off of our server. (similar to the way someone might embed our flash players on another site, but the content still remains on the ubw)
2) The API respects your download settings, so if you have your songs set to 'no download' then no download link will appear in the API
3) We provide links back to the artist page in every feed that contains songs. We want to drive traffic back to your UBW artist page!

erm whats an API???
lol... sorry man, i dont get what this does... do i have to do anything or do i get to chill while you guys are doing the hard work etc etc???

Yes, more along the lines of chill 
API = Advanced programming interface
Basically it's a way of 'standardizing' our content so others can tap into it if they want to. We are making it easy for developers to create cool stuff from our database of bands and songs! |
