just having a listen. another crazy track! the percussion track is very strong in this one and maybe a little too out front. guess it just depends on what you're going for and considering the percussion really carries the track, it might be what's called for. one thing i've noticed while listening is that the percussion is coming mainly from the left. as the track develops, the kick comes from the right to balance things out a bit. at that point, the percussion really drowns out the rest of what's going on. you just might want to experiment with panning on your percussion track and messing with the eq a bit to help set the non-percussive elements stand out a bit more as the percussion overtakes. the track is strong and clean, in my opinion. good quality. i would just touch up the mix a bit in the ways i've loosely described. it just seems a little percussion heavy on the left speaker. of course, spreading it a bit might completely change it for the worse. who knows?
good work, though. i wish i had an ear for chaos. too many years of structure in my acoustic endeavors has tainted me, i'm afraid. good work! |

hahaha what...lol..she goes away.... sorry man, im still spinning on the earthquake madness...lol... wonder how it was on 'mr toads' side (not to far from here... though he could be a normal guy whos in bed at this time of night...lol... cheers for the review man, this needs alot of mixing work, and yea, it was more of a drum study than a peice of music... the composition is lacking but i still find the tune fun (ish) just for the beats, as i say alot more mastering needed... just happy im starting to be able to manipulate drums in rex alot more than i previous... still along way to go but i feel the learning curves still leaning the right way....lol... you know me man, i just throw out there what i did 5 mins ago, usualyy a tune that i crammed out in a few hours... i just loved the creation process more than the tweaking...lol... anyways... cheers again man, without you i think id be reviewing myself at the moment... |

the news over here reported that it was a 5.3 quake. i heard it on NPR (our BBC), so i'm assuming they got that from the BBC wire. anyhow, no one died. the worst injury was that of a 19 yr old kid who had a chimney fall atop him as he slept. mashed him real good. poor sod. |
