The fragility of my art

To date I have resisted the temptation to write about myself, but I guess its time to spill some of my guts. I started playing guitar when I was 16 years old inspired by the bands of the day and the desire to be one of them. So myself and 3 friends decided, completely devoid of any musical skills or knowledge, to form a band. This seemed to be the only way to do it. Being a fairly introverted private person (still am) this presented quite a challenge. Anyway a band was formed called ' Darkness' and we even managed to cut a track on a local bands compilation, but that was about it. I tried another band after 'Darkness' but that didn't last long. I never stopped dreaming about writing songs that somebody would like to listen to. In fact I never stopped writing songs. I have probably written 1000's of songs over the years, but it is only in the last few years that i have started to record any of them. The quality of the recordings are what they are, home bedroom standard. After I'd recorded about 40 songs I really wanted someone to hear some of them. The odd person i allowed into my creative world gave positive feedback. This encouraged me, so i took a deep breath and uploaded some of my songs to the net.

‘The fragility of my art is now a point of record’
