The band was started by Noel DeLisle (Lead Vocals, Keyboards) & Jesse Snider (Acoustic/Electric Guitar) in April of 2007. Just a few weeks later, John Coffey (Bass Guitar) joined The CarbonAudio Effect. On June 2, 2007, The CarbonAudio Effect began playing as the worship band for 2 new services at Peace Church - Breakpoint Youth Worship (Middle/High School Worship) & THE EDGE (College/Career Worship). Soon after starting as the worship band at the new Peace Church services, The CarbonAudio Effect was joined by Ellery Whitfield (Drums).
