LOWER Music at unsignedbandweb.com LOWER €€€Lower had its start as a small punk rock band called "No Reply" started by guitarist James O'Gara and Bassist Glenn Miller in 2000. €Although short lived the duo continued to play with other musicians. €They tried many but finally found their drummer in Puerto Rican born Carlos (Charlie) Vangas ; a heavy hitter with a love for grooves and a bit of hip hop influence in the summer of 2001. €The new mix of styles caused the music to change to more of a groove based New Metal. €Shortly after the band found its second guitarist in Dustin Rassmussen; a crunchy sounding metal head with a talent for "power" playing. They also met Justin Cole who became the bands vocalist. €This was the line up for about 1 1/2 years until Dustin and Cole were called to serve their country in Afghanistan and Iraq.
€€€€€€The remaining members of LOWER continued to write and search for new musicians. €After many auditions and many disappointments they found a new voice in vocalist John Green. €A young and aggressive singer heavily influenced by FLAW and PANTERA. €Ironically enough, he walked in one day out of the blue just as the band had given up any hope of finding the right front man for the band. €This VOX was destined to be LOWER's front man.
€€€€Armed with a new singer the band has been able to push their music to new levels creating a mix of sounds that brings energy, aggression and emotion to the stage. €If any member of this group were removed you simply wouldn't have the same band or the same sound.
