The literal meaning of this song is about forgetting the previous night. The deeper meaning is an endless process we call forgettance, which begins the instant we are born - the idea is that before we are born, we have all knowledge that exists.

A good feeling about a cataclysm happening is perhaps necessary because if we look in the past, it has happened and it will probably happen again. This song sounds happy about the end of the world.

Also part of the motivation was an article I read on the internet titled 'Does Our Sun Have A Twin?' The idea of the comet cluster came after reading this.
