Is this the scream of madness from a ruthless assassin with no emotions? No, its just the opening line to Deafenings latest release, Herize: A Deafening Experience. It all began in the Spring of 2002. After scouring the countryside looking for worthy musicians, vocalist/guitarist Tony Casella discovered Carlos Torres (bassist) in Houston, TX. Little did they know that the first song they wrote together, entitled Deafening, would later become the name of their band.
After a homeless stint in Los Angeles, and two years of changing drummers like dirty underwear, Carlos and Tony had no choice but to steal a drummer from another Houston band. Thats where Muttley comes in, and he was a clean, fresh pair of Hanes.
When asked what Deafening is all about, Carlos responds, Standing up for the underdogs! Deafening is about the fans Tony states.

Deafening is no longer just a band of three musicians, Deafening is a living and breathing entity that supersedes any of its individual counterparts. Deafening has become a monster, I tell you! A monster with a life of its own!
