October Powder Music at unsignedbandweb.com October Powder Technically the October Powder story began late 2003 but in those early days there was little progress, only a revolving door of band members and broken lawnmowers. It wasnt until September of 2005 where within the space of 3 days, some would say the 3 most important days in Australian history, October Powder finally played their first gig and recorded their first demo. The current line-up at the time was Matthew McCarthy, Luke Arnold, Matthew Cattanach and the only original member left Adam Clements. During the next 5 months October Powder managed to play a few gigs around Melbourne leaving audiences thinking what the fuck was that and why does one of their guitarists have bigger boobs than my girlfriend. Mid February 2006 saw the departure of bassist/vocalist Luke Arnold. After a long search spanning approximately 10 days it seemed that finding a replacement was a lost cause. That was until one day out of nowhere a man the likes ye have never seen named Jeremiah Roper thought that he would threw away whatever dignity he had left and joined October Powder. Now with Jerry joining October Powder on their whimsical adventures, October Powder shall continue to makes asses of themselves at various venues all over Melbourne and also attempt to have an EP out sometime this year.
