| GONEIL - "What's A Mind To Do" |
One thirty five A.M. on the bright red L.E.D. And it's off to the racing thoughts There's a full moon out tonight I feel it's energy Through the blinds I see it's face Glaring down on me Wide awake I contemplate, I ruminate, I complicate The hell I put myself through What's a mind to do All alone in the getaway car Tearin' up the 101 on my way to the stars And I know the satellite Takes it's snapshot of me It knows my whereabouts tonight And informs my enemies I'd like to turn it off now How can you sleep through this How can you just lay there I can't believe you're not Suffering here with me How can I get to sleep Five A.M. comes early You get to sleep in late Your breathing keeps me awake What's a mind to do I'm so cold I'm shivering I'm so hot I'm sweating My heart races to keep pace With my head pounding Just as I am sleeping Daylight begins creeping The alarm is sounding Dear, did I keep you awake And drag you through this too But what's a mind to do |
