originally called "The Feed" until 2005, rainbow kiss was formed in Bakersfield, California by Guillotine Garcia and his brother Robert Tapia, on a home computer full of pirated software and a handfull of music equipment in 2002 and ending abruptly and without reason in 2004 when Guillotine moved to San Francisco, California. The Feed's first single, the zombie love song, "Sick Love (Eat My Brains)" was written as a joke for Guilli's friends in The Darkside and was met with a serious and positive response. so, Guilli continued recording more music, releasing the singles for the Patton-style "Song For Sad Friend," the Reznor-Molko burrito "Three Points," and the unfocused and desperate EP "Four Years of Your Life." The Feed's would-be first full-length effort "The Legend of The Dog-faced Woman" was never finished and is currently shelved for the time being. songs expected to appear was the first single "Sick Love (Eat My Brains)," "Song For Sad Friend," and Guilli's love letter to an old bandmate "Dear Billy." currently taking the role of vocalist and miscellaneous instrumentation in industrial-ambient band, Les Gorgon Estate, with Jerome Lyons, Guilli decided to give his solo studio project another try. so, the bands name was changed in 2005 to rainbow kiss due to the recent discovery of a massive manload of bands in the world called "Feed," "The Feed," "The Feeds," etc.. besides, if you call a band rainbow kiss, there's pretty much nothing you can't say. Guilli is currently writing all-new material for a new guitar-charged rainbow kiss release, currently titled "Overplayed Serenades." the release date is yet to be announced.
