Devanic

Devanic Bio:

Devanic was formed in May 2004 by Niki and Andy, with the goal playing ambitious, catchy, multifarious and blasting Melodic Deathmetal. Niki was searching for some people to realise his compositions, especially for someone to do the vocals with Andy the right man was found. The songwriting of Niki and the lyrics and vocal-arrangement of Andy seemed to be the perfect combination. So the nameless project started to get a form.
After some songs were completed, it was time to search a band. Only a month later the band was complete with Christian, Mike and Peter. All members have earned experience in other bands before: Moriturus, Septicemia, Subtil, Spirit Within, Corona Endorser, Flex Tracked
It didn't take long to get capable of playing together and so the band started recording the Promo 2004 Mask Installed.
Also a name for the band was found - Devanic - which has it's roots in the notion "Deva" (Sanskrit), that means as much as "beaming, heavenly, luminous, glowing". The word "Deva" also means the semi-gods of the Indian mythology, which are protecting planet earth and mankind.
Mask Installed, which is completely self-produced, was released in September. It was the first sign of life from Devanic and was not meant for the public, but only for magazines, radios and labels. Two months later the band was the first time on stage and played together with Satanic Slaughter in Vienna, Austria.
Also the first reactions of magazines to "Mask Installed", which were mostly positive, demonstrated the potential of Devanic. Some tracks were played on (online)radios worldwide and the name of Devanic appeared more and more in the media. For the young age of the band, Devanic's evolvement is amazing and an exception, not only for the Austrian metalscene.
