MIXTURE Bio:
Mixture grew up in a family full of singers and musicians so music has always been a part of his life. He cites his musical influences as Notorious B.I.G, Tupac Shakur, Talib Kweli, and Jay-Z. Like many of his favorite artists, Mixture wants to be remembered as one of the greatest and most influential artists of his time.
Mixture is a new artist but is making his mark early. This young rapper has been making steps to his goal of being one of the greatest and most influential artists of his time. He currently has a track featured on the new Hi-Jack the Track Series One (Track 30). He is also receiving airplay on one of Tallahassees premier radio stations 100.7 the beat of his song Turn Me Up (Remix) off his debut album Two Sides to a Story. Not only are radio stations locally playing his music but radio stations in the United Kingdom as well as 93.7 FM IWAC in Sydney Australia has just started playing his music. He has independently put out five mixtapes of his own and has been blazing other artist and DJs mixtapes. The latest mixtapes he has been featured on are Hip Hop Reborn Mixtape Volume 1 (Finest Up and Coming UK/US Artists), Summer Blaze 05: Memorial Day Weekend Soundtrack and DJ Serms Bring It Outside.. (Jive Ass Niggas).
Even though only 20, Mixture showcases a mature and smooth delivery with every word he spits. His music offers a little something for everyone from club songs, he then can take it to the true essence of hip hop with battle records, and then completes the total package with his life stories. It is hard to categorize his music because he is so versatile due to him growing up and living in many regions of the world. He has resided in New York, Germany, and Florida where he currently lives and attends Florida A&M University.
Mixture believes he is needed in the rap game right now because the current state of hip hop lacks versatility and substance and he believes to hold these qualities. His new c.d will be dropping in October of 2006 but until then, with lyrical stories and visions of taking over hip hop Mixture speaks with a quiet voice but perfect words that are as powerful as a shout.
