Captain Coconut Bio:
We are Captain Coconut (funkycaptains@yahoo.com). We dig the funky jazz and jazzy funk along with simple funk & jazz. We are based in NYC and (almost) all of us are in high school. Three of us are sophomores, one is a junior and one is in eighth grade (Armand). Our current CD is a combination of jazz tunes put together for Dan and Connor’s history project at school. The two songs posted are Chameleon and a spontaneous jam in celebration of finishing of six tunes in one day. These tunes feature Dan Fisher on Alto Sax (who will hopefully be joining our band). The jam is literally out of thin air. We pressed record and Armand started off with a funky beat, after that we wrote it as we went along.
