<itunes:summary>This tale of three kids begins in Contra Costa County. Jacob West, Ricky Darrah, and Frank Paganini all attened
Mt. Diablo High school where the band met in 2001/2002.
At the time all three members were in other bands known in the area.
Eventually other bands failed to grasp oppertunities where a short time
later the three would eventually decide to begin something better known
as "A Promising Year". Due to a wide range of influences such as: Blink, MxPx,
Red Hot Chili Peppers, Maroon Five, Jet, Green Day, The Early November,
Metallica, Taking Back Sunday, Sumblime, Starting Line, Senses Fail, Finch,
the three would individually bring something fresh to the table to create a new
sound of music.

A Promising Year - From Contra Costa County

A Promising Year has melodic, catchy, out of the box style guitar riffs
by Frank Paganini. Melodic, unique sense of rhythm drum beats by Jacob West.
"Mark Hoppus" method style of basslines by Ricky Darrah. Do it yourself,
and even sometimes out of key unique vocals by Jacob West and Frank Paganini.
This is only a minor scratch of the surface of what A Promising Year offers in
their music.</itunes:summary>
